People with imaginary friends are frankly nuts and we don't want them running our lives. Remember when Tony Abbott locked up Pauline Hanson on trumped up charges which were later overturned in Court? I do, because I protested outside the prison she was being held in. I don't care what your beliefs are so long as they don't hurt others. Religion has a long history of hatred, corruption, hypocrisy, greed and lying to the public. Anybody who tells you they have all the answers is lying. It's as simple as that. The Churches of the World are snake oil salesmen. They preach peace and love now but last time they were in charge they tortured and murdered countless people simply for having different beliefs. Now history is repeating. Tony Abbott thinks its ok to lock up people with different points of view to his shallow negative Catholic mind-set. He says global warming is crap. He thinks killing apex predators like nomadic sharks is a good idea when the oceans are already sick. Tony Abbott wants to cut down forests which reduce CO2. I think he belongs in the middle ages. Please post your promo for promo requests, suggestions and expressions of interest as this grass roots political organization develops into an official registered Party. To achieve this we will require a minimum of 500 serious members willing to sign a membership form and join the start-up Party. To be eligible you must have Australian citizenship, be enrolled on the electoral roll, have no faith in the supernatural and be of voting age or over. I'm organizing this because I've had a gutfull of seeing bad policy based on Superstition. It's time we got the reporters and lawyers out of parliament too. Why are they running the country? Why don't we have more Firemen and Soldiers or Scientists and Comedians/ People with a backbone and intelligence! Instead of the backward, racist, sexist, religious trash we currently have to put up with. I don't want to contend for a leadership position personally as I find politics nauseating. Kevin Rudd didn't have white hair before becoming PM and I don't wish to accelerate my own greying hair in the way. I just want a political party worth my vote. A Party dedicated to advancing Australia through applied science and engineering. The Greens are mostly clueless. I recall when protestors painted fur seals to save them from hunters. A noble effort. Nice intent. Utterly stupid method. The paint destroyed the natural oil in their fur and they drowned after freezing to death in the ocean. The hunters went and killed a different colony. So two colonies of seals died instead of one. I want a political party with both morality and intelligence. Labor and Liberal are just taking turns running this country down. Want to be Prime Minister? Throw your hat in the ring. It could happen. POLICIES SCIENCE MINISTRY Recreate the Science Ministry and give it priority funding. AUSTRALIAN SPACE AGENCY Australia should have a Space Program. We could expand our mining ventures into space and make trillions of dollars for schools and hospitals by mining the asteroids and not letting greedy mining companies keep all the profit. ABOLITION OF PREFERENTIAL VOTING SYSTEM One person one vote has always been the rational way to ceocratically elect a government. The stupid preferential system has always delivered warped results. Most people don't even care about politics so expecting them to fill out a mile long form is ridiculous. Preference swaps now decide elections. It's time to abolish preferential voting or 'vote rigging' as I like to call it. LEGALISE DRUGS Drugs are a health issue. Alcohol and Tobacco are two of the deadliest recreational drugs known to man. If they are to remain legal then other drugs must also become legal. Governments should not have the right to dictate how other people live so long as they are not hurting others. NUCLEAR POWER Nuclear energy produces no CO2 and Australia has the world's largest supply of Uranium. We also have massive reseres of Thorium. Outdated arguments against nuclear energy use pale in comparison to the risk of doing nothing in the face of global warming. Nuclear energy can meet baseload electricity demands nationally. NUCLEAR WEAPONS In the face of growing threats from Russia and China to the north and an increasingly unstable USA we should enrich Uranium to weapons grade level for installment in Australian built nuclear misiles. History always repeats itself and one day we will certainly go to war again. In this age a non-nuclear military is next to useless. Even North Korea and Pakistan have nukes now. We can withdraw from the nuclear proliferation treaty with only 3 months notice. OPEN GOVERNMENT No more secrecy. Transparency in decision making and implementation. I know it isn't fashionable to give out policies as it always alienates part of the public. Why do we have to wait 30 years to learn about all the corruption of previous governments? We should know immediately.
