This was a fictional company used in the online Alternate Reality Game called Township Heights developed by Virtuquest, an online marketing, website, and alternate reality company.
Developmentis represented the main "Bad" entity in this alternate reality in which the company (Developmentis) was responsible for altering the DNA and genetic structure of residents of Township Heights. After several events and puzzle like elements, participalnts/players discovered that Developmentis was using old DNA structures from Area51 aliens captured in the 1940's.
