The Dialysis and Transplant Association of Victoria Incorporated (D.A.T.A.) is a patient self help group made up of people with kidney failure and their families and friends. Formed in 1972 as the "Home Dialysis Association" to encourage people going home with a kidney machine for the first time to talk to others with similar problems, the Association has evolved to include transplant patients and the name D.A.T.A. was adopted in 1981. D.A.T.A.
