Comic Shop News (CSN) is a free weekly publication distributed to customers through comic book retailers, who receive it in bundles as a promotional tool. It serves comic book fans and the specialty retail comics market. First published in July 1987 by Cliff Biggers and Ward Batty, CSN has grown from a 4-page black-and-white newsletter with 30,000 weekly copies to a full-color, 8–12 page publication with over 60,000 weekly readers and more than 80 million copies sold.
