This is a picture of a section of 14” brine pipeline. The line was approximately 10 years old at the time of removal. It had an internal and external fusion bonded epoxy coating. Both the internal and external coatings were in excellent condition and could have remained in service for many years. The resulting corrosive effect of the transfer material caused universal damage to the entire girth weld area.
