The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) is proud to be South Africa's "orchestra for all seasons" a financially and culturally sustainable, multi-functional orchestra delivering a world class musical experience to all communities of the Western Cape. We are one of only two full–time professional symphony orchestras in South Africa. The CPO continues a history of symphonic music in the city since the first symphony orchestra was formed in 1914.
