Bethany University is a private Christian institution of higher education located in Scotts Valley (Santa Cruz area), California, affiliated with the Assemblies of God. It offers undergraduate programs rooted in a Pentecostal tradition and holds full accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Founded in 1919 as Glad Tidings Bible Institute, it is the oldest Assemblies of God institution of higher education, relocating to its current Santa Cruz mountain campus in 1950.
