The Bringing History Home curriculum and professional development project was designed and piloted by a partnership between the University of Iowa and Washington Community School District in Iowa. Since the 2001-2003 Washington pilot, the program has been implemented in five additional Iowa school districts, with a seventh district beginning teacher professional development and implementation in 2010.
