Artisanal Mining is a knowledge archive dedicated to preserving and sharing documents and research on artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) worldwide. Launched in December 2016, it rescued and republished hundreds of files from the defunct Communities and Small-scale Mining (CASM) initiative and other ASM projects that had been lost when their original websites went offline. The site serves miners, researchers, policymakers, and development organizations working in the ASM sector.
