Arrow Medical was founded in 1989 by a group of medical device entrepreneurs who recognised the growing need for outsourcing of manufacturing of medical devices, especially clean room assembly. Early success led to rapid development of Arrow Medical as a contract medical manufacturing specialist in 1994, when a major international company chose Arrow Medical to manufacture a high volume garment used for prophylaxis treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
