Zuma Beach Bead Co. LLC, founded in 1991, is St. Louis's first full service bead store, providing in-store design and construction assistance. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is eager to help you create your very own affordable heirlooms. The owners are direct importers from bead sources all over the world, offering a unique and exotic collection of beads and artifacts pleasing to both the eye and the pocket book!
Our mission is to provide pathways from worldwide craftsmen to the collective artistic soul. We work hand in hand in international communities developing artisan's co-ops to promote intercultural understanding and respect and to provide networks for the local craftsmen and artisans to branch into international markets. Our travels to Kenya, Thailand, Bali, Hong Kong and Guatemala have resulted in the establishment of several artisan workshops producing beads and other art pieces for export, supporting many families of those regions of the world.
Concentrating on the educational aspects of beadwork, we offer an extensive class schedule and are often asked to give presentations on thier travels and the importance of beads throughout history. We have often been described by our customers as the "collector's bead store."
