Zagazig University is located in Sharkia Governorate, which is one of the largest governorates in Egypt.Sharkia was one of the ancient c apitals of Egypt and it holds a lot of the pharos treasures in different places distributed in many small towns.
The buildings of the university are divided into two main sites through the city. The first one holds the majority of colleges and institutes and the second one holds 2 colleges and 2 institutes.
