The Austin Area Garden Center is a non-profit organization established in 1955 to support Zilker Botanical Garden's mission to promote the education and love of gardening among people of all ages. Its projects support beautification of the gardens visited yearly by half a million people from around the world. Its education programs reach thousands of school children and adults every year.
