- I am an avid fan of anything spotted. Nature has all the cats in the wild with either strips or spots and I am not one to go against Mother Nature! I do own a couple of one colour (self) cats but the majority have spots and strips. It can be quite a challenge to breed a good spotted or tabby cat, but the reward is stunning. There are the bad days when I wonder why I do this at all. There are the good days when one of those tiny kittens, turns out to be a complete stunner and it makes it all worth while. It is not a hobby for the faint hearted.
