The history of The Hylia is rich with danger, mystery and enchantment. Alright, so maybe it's a bit boring by most standards, but compared to the history of other Zelda sites, it's pretty engaging. To fully understand this tale, you have to go back to the beginning. To a time before time...well...at least the internet.
The origins of The Hylia lie with its founder and current owner, The Silent Adventurer (TSA, formerly The Silent Assassin). For many years, TSA had enjoyed the Legend of Zelda franchise, from the games, the comics, the cartoons and the news in Nintendo Power. But it was in 1994 when he finally got the internet connection that he was able to share his love for Zelda with the rest of the world.
In 1995, after spending time learning the internet and basic HTML, TSA created "The Kingdom of Hyrule", a site hosted on Tripod which had basic information about The Legend of Zelda series, and a few images he could find around the net. It was very primitive by today's standards. Along with his StarFox fan site, The Lylat System, TSA had his "World of Nintendo" fan site up.
