Our business model is to create revenue, nationwide from fees paid to us by bars and nightclubs. The reason bars and nightclubs will pay us money, is because we use a unique combination of technologies and networking protocols to give our customers the maximum exposure to today’s young adults, at a minimal cost.
We also use a proven method of sales recruiting and training to insure that our customers have ample opportunity to become informed about our product and do business with us. Partners Bill Whitmire and Steven Hummel are both veterans of the computer industry in Grand Rapids Michigan, Bill, as a web developer, Steve as a network administrator and project manager. Over the years they have collaborated on many applications and websites.
YourAreaCode.com is a social networking site that is focused on the bar and nightclub industry. Data from our website is broadcasted in many places on the internet in the form of a widget. A widget is a small window on a computer that displays information that is generated from another source. Our widget is seen by over 600 thousand people per day, nationwide. Users create free accounts on the website and network with friends, sharing pictures, placing comments on each others pages, chatting and sharing information about local nightlife. Users can write reviews on bars, sign up as regulars, and receive information about special promotions or events at local venues. While we expect this area of our site to continue to grow, it is not vital to our revenue stream.
Bars and Nightclubs can create accounts on the system and update basic information about their venue (location, contact information, drink specials and events) at no charge. The charge originates when they use our advertising tools.
Our advertising tools include having the bars daily specials displayed on the widget as well as the use of a complete and unique text marketing system which we have designed. This gives users instant drink coupons or a drink special in exchange for sending a bars keyword in from their cellular phone.
The main tool that is then available to a bar is” Right Now Advertising”, it allows the bars to communicate through the widget and through text messaging to instantly offer specials to thousands of local users.

The bar and nightclub industry is an ideal marketplace for our products. Their primary customer is between the ages of 21 and 35. It is well known that this age group does not read newspapers, watches less television and listens to less radio than previous generations. In addition this demographic spends a large part of their average day on their computer, and rarely go anywhere without their cellular phones. Our service intentionally targets internet and cell phone users between the ages of 21 and 30.
We chose our primary market to be every city in the United States with over half a million people, a total of 183 million people according to the 2000 census. These areas have an average of at least 1 bar or nightclub per 10,000 in population. We calculate that these areas will produce over four million dollars in net profit annually.
Additionally, there are another 40 million people that live in cities with populations between 100,000 and 500,000. These areas can generate another 1 million dollars in profit annually once we are ready to address them.
Our plans for future growth include offering this system to other industries, which we are currently developing the technology for. This will increase our potential market to over 22.5 million businesses. It is our long term goal to obtain 2% of this market for an additional 540 million net profit annually.
