Alumni & Friends of Yorktown High School, Inc.
Description
The Alumni & Friends of Yorktown High School, Inc. is an all-volunteer charitable organization whose purpose is to develop alumni support for Yorktown High School, with fellow alumni, faculty and current students through reunions, scholarships, career development, and other special activities. All such purposes shall at all times be exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
Although we work closely with Yorktown and it's staff, and the Yorktown High School PTA - and make every effort to coordinate our activities - all three organizations are independent of the other. Accordingly, none are responsible for the acts or omissions of another.
We are a 100% volunteer organization of YHS alumni, parents of current and/or former students, and other friends of the school.
