Yoplait and its parent company General Mills are saddened by the passing of Soraya. Since 2003, our work with her to raise funds for and awareness of breast cancer, especially among the Hispanic community, was an important part of Yoplait’s overall breast cancer program.
Soraya’s message that every woman, regardless of age or ethnic origin, needs to be proactive in maintaining her own health through breast self examination and, at the appropriate age, mammograms, is a message Yoplait strongly supports.
The Yoplait team of 833 members will be running in the Twin Cities Race for the Cure, May 13, in memory of Soraya.
