Year 1950...The first Yeni Karamürsel store was opened in Sultanhamam. By opening this fabric and ready-wear store, Mr. Nuri Güven built the infrastructure of a significant establishment that would pioneer the department stores in future in Turkey.
YKM has been growing since the day it was founded; it continued its expansion through the stores it opened in large cities such as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. YKM continues to serve its customers with 42 stores all across Turkey from East to West.
