- In the late 1990s, a group of friends, who were working in the field of computer engineering in Hong Kong, noticed that there was a great need to let more people have more opportunities to use computers in their daily lives. The Computer Aid (http://www.compuaid.org) was the pioneer in steeping out the first step in helping those families which could not afford a set of computer. Since then, they started to collect some used computers. However, the computerization movement was steeped back as most used computers did not have a licensed Operation System. In view of this, Wisdom (HK) Ltd. invited some software engineers and worked together to develop an innovative OS, “Miss Dragon Operation System”. The production of the OS did not aim to breakthrough the monopoly status of the Microsoft Windows OS, but it aimed at providing an alternative and economy way for the end-users to choose. The Miss Dragon OS has provided an economy OS for those who cannot afford to buy an expensive license, like Microsoft Windows.
