I remember exactly what got me into loving makeup. I was just a little 8 year old girl when I began paying close attention to when my beautiful aunt was dolling herself up with makeup. My aunt owned so much makeup than I had ever seen and so I thought "Someday I'll have just as much make-up as her so I can be just as beautiful". Little did I know, I would end up owning a lot more makeup than most girls.
Most people that know me would have to say that when I first started wearing makeup (I must have been 12), that I didn't really know what I was doing. You see, I started getting acne at about that age, so I thought piling on foundation to hide the redness would do the trick. The worst part was that I wasn't even matching my skin tone, so my acne was even more obvious, plus I looked like I was wearing a mask. It took about 4 more years of experimenting on my face until I finally felt I was an expert, plus by that time my acne had cleared up thanks to a dermatologist.
By age 16 I was doing just for fun make-overs on friends and family members. Even when they wanted their eyebrows tweezed, they knew who to come to. I definitely knew I had a wonderful talent that made people feel beautiful. Now a graduate of the renowned Blanche Macdonald Centre, I specialize in the ability to create photogenic, telegenic and camera-friendly looks and styles for every occasion. Working primarily as a freelance make-up artist, I am available for Print, Film/Video, Fashion, Commercials, Weddings and special events. My passion is to bring out the best in all my clients and my work reflects the highest level of professionalism.
