- During the past 31 years, YAP has focused its efforts exclusively on community-based services provided in family homes and neighborhood settings. Jurisdictions with burgeoning case loads and decreasing budgets have increasingly turned to YAP for creative, cost-effective solutions. Our approach has been expanded to provide services not only in Child Welfare Systems, but to Economic Welfare Systems as well. YAP currently employs over 2000 employees and operates 125 programs in 15 States, including Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas, as well as the District of Columbia, with successful replication in Hawaii, Scotland, England, Ireland, and Sierra Leone. Approximately 10,000 youth and families are served annually in YAP programs nationwide.
