Description
For young people between the ages of 5 and 25 working in the Performing Arts, continuity and progression of experience are qualities that Youth Arts values as the key to the growth of genuine understanding and skills.
Over the last 12 years, through its annual programme of projects, Youth Arts has engaged young people with challenges and a high standard of outcome. Yet we do not turn people away; everyone has to have the opportunity and time to find their way into the arts and gain the confidence to contribute.
Over the years many young people, by participating in Youth Arts projects, have gained in confidence. The 'shy' or 'at-risk' have found an activity that has boosted their self esteem and by having been given a responsibility that made sense and purpose, came out of the experience with a greater sense of personal self worth.
