- Alexander Yakut, one of the pioneers of the contemporary art in post-soviet Russia opened a new gallery in a factory district of Moscow that could compete with Soho and Chelsea. Mr. Yakut was one of the first who opened a private gallery in 1989 under the name "First Gallery" and also he was supervising several of his own galleries during the last ten years. His latest project is the most ambitious. Yakut Gallery, which is the biggest private gallery in Europe with the exhibition space of 1000 square meters.
