Description

What is Xtreme XA?

The University of Nebraska - Lincoln is home to Xtreme XA [Chi Alpha]. Xtreme XA is a community of students earnestly following Jesus. Our gatherings are informal, charged with music, given to humor and deal with everything from relationships to the nature of truth. The primary purposes of Xtreme XA are to connect young people together in Christian fellowship, encourage Spirit-filled worship and ministry and to evangelize the UNL Campus and city community. In connecting people, the students in Xtreme XA are diverse in makeup and student led all in activities.

We have a Thursday night service on campus. We sponsor Bible studies and accountability groups on campus: the times change from semester to semester depending on students' schedules. If you're interested, either drop us a line or check out the weekly meetings link in the top frame of this page. Also, you could just swing by on Thursday night.

What is Chi Alpha?

Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is of the Assemblies of God Division of Home Missions. This ministry is on more than two-hundred colleges and universities around the United States. It is a Protestant, Pentecostal campus ministry in nature but nondenominational in focus. Chi Alpha is committed to fostering five key ingredients of "community" life among believers on campus: worship, fellowship, discipleship, witness and prayer. Chi Alpha comes from the Greek christou apostoloi, which means "Christ's sent ones."
