XMLiViNG.com was developed throughout 2005. As we examined the satellite radio market online, we noticed that major point of sale sites for XM radio products did not provide a sense of community for buyers. Also, there was little or no connection between existing user forums and message board sites and point of sale sites for XM radio. As XM itself out-sources all of its product, XMLiViNG.com saw a gap, and decided to fill the niche. We decided to create a site that combined the disparate efforts of other XM related sites on the web, combining point of sale/customer service, XM news, forums for users, third party reviews, and a blog for opinion and up to date information.
