Xact Wire EDM was founded in 1984 by Jeff Gubbins and John Dora. Prior to starting Xact, the two owners worked together for five years and held common beliefs about how to properly treat employees and customers. They also believed that to succeed, they needed to listen very closely to their customers, constantly hire and train good people, frequently acquire new advanced technology, always strive to improve, and be willing to quickly move into new application areas.
