Becoming a member
WriteAway services are exclusively reserved for WriteAway members. Once you've completed the online enrolment (see below) we will immediately welcome you and ask a WriteAway editor to contact you by e-mail. Then it's up to you. You decide what information to provide - about yourself and your writing aspirations, and we will help you wherever possible. You can discuss your precise needs at length with our editors. No two writers have identical needs, or ability, and these initial exchanges are neither charged for or limited by time.
Our advice is provided by people who have 'been there and done it' - and this knowledge is on tap, updated regularly and an all-inclusive part of your membership. WriteAway represents a fund of expertise in writing and publishing untainted by commercial links.
You remain in control of your writing project at all times. We help you achieve this by restricting our support to the objectives and structure of your writing projects. Our advisers are writers and journalists, publishers, agents, artists, printers, teachers, marketing experts and, most important of all, people who have run their own businesses in the publishing and writing worlds. To succeed as a writer it is essential you submit your work in a businesslike manner; we ensure this happens. The WriteAway Panel of Writers and Publishers offer independent, constructive assessments of your writing package from both a commercial and literary standpoint. You can commission these inexpensive reports after consultation with our editors. Members find these reports invaluable when preparing the important submission package for publishers, or when setting out on their first writing journey.
