- Words Plus owner-founder Dale Hoffer, professional transcriptionist, launched her business in 1980 in New York City with Madison Avenue Advertising giants such as Ogilvy & Mather, Bozell & Jacobs, Advertising to Women and Diane Orban Associates. She specialized in market research as a transcriber for focus groups and one-on-one interviews. At the same time she also developed many clients in the financial field such as McKinsey & Company and Lynch, Jones and Ryan. It wasn’t until 1987 when a Rolling Stone reporter was looking for a new transcription company that she won over the writer and the magazine with a Neil Young interview. This launched her career as the premiere transcriptionist for entertainment journalists.
