Title
Wordsy | We love books. We love words. We are wordsy.
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- We like fiction, non-fiction, poetry, literature, whatever you like to call it. It's usually in books and if you're willing to open one and open your mind, you can discover a whole new world every time. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not so much. It's all part of what makes reading magical.
- Our core functionality is
pretty much a rip-off ofstrongly inspired by the famous Digg.com. You can vote on stuff, and if more people vote on something it'll get promoted to the homepage. That's basically how it works. We're big fans of Digg, so we remember it's founder Kevin Rose saying on our favorite podcast This Week in Tech that he though it would be ok when people mimicked the basics for other audiences. Kevin, if you're reading this: a big thanks from the folks at Wordsy :-) I don't think he's too much into the reading crowd anyways. Maybe when Steve Jobs writes an autobiography.

Jeoffstyris's Comments on Wordsy.com
- Jeoffstyris (delighted) : This site is cool and news at the global level is great. But the problem is the news cannot be related to a location (country, state or city). I recently found this site http://www.ReadersGlobe.com/ which is location sensitive and every news item is related to a location which I found quite useful. Now I can find community based social news for the entire world by country, state and city. 05:35, 25 September 2008 (PDT)
