About WoodStockWitness.com

Woodstock Witness was created in March 2007 by Barry Z Levine, photographer for the Woodstock Documentary film of 1969. His aerial photos of the crowd are breathtaking. His photos of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, Richie Havens, Sly and Family Stone, Mountain, Canned Heat, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez and other great performers at Woodstock 1969 are iconic. The site was planned to commemorate the 40 Anniversary of the Woodstock Festival. First published for our business clientele as a Beta test on the John E Sackett Foundation site, Woodstock Witness went live with its current title shortly thereafter. Since then the site has been accessed world-wide. With encouragement from their friends, Barry and his wife Linanne Sackett then colloborated on The Woodstock Story Book with nearly 300 color photos by Barry and verse by Linanne. This volume captures the photos on the WoodstockWitness website and is for sale in their storefront which was added nearly a year ago.
