Title
Washington's National Park Fund The Official Nonprofit Fundraiser for Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks
Description
Our Mission: Washington’s National Park Fund’s mission is to preserve and restore Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks for current and future generations.
Washington’s National Park Fund was established as an independent nonprofit with a grant from the National Park Foundation in 1993. In 2003, looking to streamline administrative costs and expand fund development, Washington’s National Park Fund was reestablished as a local fund of the National Park Foundation (NPF), the congressionally-chartered nonprofit of America’s National Parks. Washington’s National Park Fund, now a local fund of the NPF, works to ensure the highest percentage of raised funds is directed to park projects. We do this by managing resources carefully while encouraging private philanthropy and pursuing a variety of innovative earned income strategies such as selling a special license plate. All funds raised by Washington's National Park Fund stay in Washington State and support Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks.
The Fund is guided by a group of volunteer Trustees, private citizens and civic leaders who serve as citizen ambassadors for Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks. Trustees serve as a committee of the National Park Foundation Board of Directors, whose chairman is the Secretary of the Interior.
