Description
Baptist Health Systems of East Tennessee signed a letter of intent to begin a joint venture with Triad Hospitals, Inc. Baptist will keep 20 percent ownership. No cutbacks are expected in employee compensation. The consolidation will help combat over $200 million in acquired debt, and the deal will be final after approval from the Tennessee Attorney General and the Executive Board of the Tennessee Baptist Convention. There are four Baptist hospitals in Knox and Cocke Counties and numerous specialty centers throughout East Tennessee.
WNOX-FM and sister station WIVK-FM are finalists for numerous awards from The Associated Press of Tennessee. The awards ceremony is in Nashville on Friday, June 9th.
