The concept for a high school radio station was the idea of Jesse Morris, Mount Pleasant High School student council president. Jesse Morris asked fellow classmate (Class of 1968) Bob Huber to act as the first station manager. With much hard work and approval by the Federal Communications Commission, the radio station finally became a reality in October 1969. Both Jesse Morris and Bob Huber were inducted into the Mount Pleasant Hall of Fame on October 23, 2009.
