Welcome My name is Jim McKinnon and I live in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia. In a little town called Marion, I have been licensed since 1979. Calls, KB4HQJ, N3FRG, WK4W. My first love in Ham Radio was and still is CW. I also enjoy SSB, RTTY, PSK31/PSK63, I live in an antenna restricted community but managed to get permission and put up a ground mounted vertical (Cushcraft AP8) and the one that I didn't get permission for (hee hee) is a 640 ft. vertical loop with the apex at 40ft. I also have a dipole cut for 17 meters flat top apex at 40ft. I have all the regular QRO that you will see in the next picture. KENWOOD TS140S WITH MFJ-1278BDSP for packet, rtty, you will also see my 2 favorite boat anchors that I use on SSB when the mood hits!! Kenwood TS830s, TS930s (most of the time you can find me on 7.030>7.110, 14.020>14.068 cw and 14.070 psk).
