There has been a Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) presence in Wirral since 1939 when the Birkenhead and Wallasey Bureaux were opened to meet the needs of families affected by the war. Wallasey was founded on 2 September 1939 and Birkenhead was founded on 4 September 1939. In between these two dates war was declared. Wirral Citizens Advice Bureau is a local charity registered with the Charity Commission and is also a company limited by guarantee registered at companies House.
