Windsor Light Opera
Description
The Windsor Light Opera is a community based amateur musical performance company of roughly 400 talented people that has thrilled Windsor area audiences since 1948. It is not what the name implies - an opera company - but rather a musical theatre company. The W.L.O.A. also has a Youth Choir, and an adult Cabaret group (100 Years of Broadway) which perform at public venues, on a year round basis. Our Players group stages an annual production and holds readings, open to the public, at various times during the year.
Every aspect of the Windsor Light Opera's performances is planned, financed and executed by the group's members who participate on a volunteer basis without remuneration - (everything from the set design and stagecraft, recruitment and of actors and musicians, budgeting and marketing.)
We are extraordinarily and justifiably proud of the company's impressive record of performances, but more especially of the thousands of smiles of delight that have brightend the faces of our audiences as they've left the theatres after our performances. We look forward to many more successes and many more happy experiences for those who participate on-stage, back-stage and in the theatre seats. We hope you'll join us.
