Description
"Wind in the Willows" is a traditional narrow boat, constructed in 1973, she is 70' long and 6' 10" wide. She was built as a passenger boat in Birmingham and has cruised, under a variety of names, in Coventry, Braunston and on the River Lee. Due to her age, the boat does not have wheelchair access, but can accommodate most people with reduced mobility - there are 3 steps (with handrails) to negotiate. Once aboard, all facilities are on 1 level.
seats around 2 and 4 person tables. There are 2 toilets on board, a fully stocked bar and a music and public address system. There are numerous windows along each side, which afford good views for all. The front bow-well is canvas covered and seats approximately 8 people.
Willowtree Narrow Boat Trips is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Tony and Barbara Moss who endeavour to provide an interesting mix of scheduled public trips, day trips and personalised private parties.
