Wingo is a small rural community located in the far southwest tip of Kentucky, a short drive from Tennessee and close to the Missouri and Illinois borders as well. With a population of less than 600
, our neighbors have been a great help to us since our relocation here from the city. Though we owned a horse before moving here, he was kept at a boarding facility, so we had much to learn about maintaining a farmstead! When we settled in, we rounded out the barnyard with a few goats, some donkeys, chickens (including a rooster so that we could wake up with a real "farm call"). The farm also has an abundance of cats, four "outside" mixed-breed dogs, and our three inside Dashunds.
Along with the many usual structural and fencing renovations we have also been carving cart roads throughout our 40 acres for our walking pleasure and for riding, driving and training our horses. The farm also boasts 2 ponds, one for fishing and one for swimming. Our children and grandchildren have much to enjoy when they visit us! Thank you for visiting our website.
