Dr. Salgado received her MD degree from University of Puerto Rico in 1985. She completed her specialty training in 1990 from St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in Puerto Rico.
She is a fellow of the American College of OB/GYN, board certified, and re-certified through April 2004. Dr. Salgado has worked at the US Air Force for 13 years most recently as the Chairperson of the OB/GYN Department. In 2002 she left active duty to enter private practice but remains in the reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel.
In her spare time, Dr. Salgado enjoys working out, Yoga, reading, and dancing. She and her husband, Orlando, have two children, Sergio and Marco.
