- West Alna Welding, Fabrication & Design was born on April 1, 2004. After over twenty-five years of working for other companies, I decided to start my own business; originally out of my home in Alna, Maine. Most jobs called for mobile accessibility and for two years that worked just fine. As the call for fabrication increased it became apparent that the garage at the house would no longer furnish the room needed for the construction of larger projects and repairs. We moved into our new building at 186 Fowles Hill Road in Wiscasset in April 2006. Since our move our client base has grown and we have found that no matter the size or logistics of the job, we’ve been able to complete it in a timely fashion and satisfy our customers.
