About Us
Hi! We're the mother-daughter team of STS Designs, Phyllis and Nicole Stagg. We're not doctors. We're not nurses. We're just two women who have listened to people battling cancer tell us how it becomes increasingly difficult and time-consuming to find things that are attractive, stylish and suit their new needs. So we've set out to do something about that!
How did this all start? In 2002, we created our first fashion accessory: the Babushkah(tm). We created it because Nicole wouldn't wear hats for fear of "hat-head." One cold day she got a brainstorm: what about a bandana? Not a cotton bandana, but a warm one that she could tie any way she wanted to. We searched everywhere but found nothing. So Phyllis cut apart an old Polar Fleece scarf and made a bandana out of it.... and Nicole loved it. And soon Nicole's friends loved it and wanted one. And her mom's friends wanted them, too. Even stores wanted them!
