WB Sports Supplies is situated in Woonona, a suburb of the city of Wollongong. Wollongong is situated between the Illawarra escarpment and the Pacific Ocean approximately 90 kilometres south of Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, Australia.
WB Sports Supplies opened its doors for business in August 1972. Originally trading in smaller premises on the border of the two suburbs of Woonona and Bulli, the business was named Woonona Bulli Sports Store. From humble beginnings as a retailer, Dennis Moore began to supply sport clubs and schools in the local Illawarra area. The name was shortened to WB Sports Supplies after sales were made to other states within Australia and to some of the other Pacific Island nations.
Dennis is still the Managing Director and along with his wife Patricia, has constantly toiled long and hard to expand the business to its present position as a major supplier to councils, schools, sports clubs and other businesses in New South Wales.
