Water Out Southern New England was established in 2002 as a response to the rising cost of water damage mitigation in New England. Founders Eric Anderson and his father Jack Anderson recognized that many water damaged homes were being improperly dried after a flooding incident. Eric and Jack decided to explore a structural drying technology called “convectant drying” as conventional drying techniques were proving to be insufficient.
Convectant drying had initially been developed for removing moisture in the production of dog biscuits. Charles Cressy of Jackson, NJ manufactured a larger version of the convectant drying technology, mounted it on a trailer, and added supply and return hoses. It proved to be the most effective technique for structural drying. Eric and Jack then entered into an agreement with Cressy to bring this convectant drying technology to New England under the name Water Out Southern New England .
Since its start in New England in 2002, Water Out Southern New England has saved countless home and property owners thousands of dollars in drying and repair costs.
