- "Let us introduce ourselves. Our names are Regina Walters and Shawna Nicholls. In the Summer of 2003 we opened a new business here in Raytown and named it WalNic's Place. The "Wal" and the "Nics" from each of our last names. We felt there was a need in Raytown for a place for the people of our community to gather for both personal & neighborhood activities. Many Raytown citizens were traveling to other cities for their banquet hall needs. We felt WalNic's Place would make a wonderful addition and bring a much needed service to our community"
