Wal Robbins Additions - Building Home Extensions in Western Sydney for Over 40 Years
Description
Working out of his home office in Fairfield Heights, he designed and constructed small home additions and garages as a sole trader, assisted by his wife Daphne and a small band of tradesmen. The growth of the business necessitated a move to commercial premises at Fairfield Heights in 1969.
In 1970 Wal Robbins & Company Pty. Ltd. was formed and enjoyed great success specialising in additions for a variety of clientele, including Defence Service home extensions.
Ray Fielder (a nephew of Daphne and Wal) joined the business in August 1971 to assist with the management of the ever-increasing workload.
