Description
The VT/NY AS/400 User Group, formed in April 1992, provides AS/400 educational information and related presentations at an incredibly low price of $15.00 per person, to its members on a monthly basis approximately 9 times per year. We meet monthly, but not in July, August, and December , because the summer is too short, and most people are too busy around the end of the year.
Just what is this user group? It's an independent organization (supported, but not sponsored, by IBM). We have by-laws , a bank account, and officers (volunteers from among the membership). We meet monthly except during July, August, and December, to discuss topics related to the AS/400. Some are technical, some are management related. IBM presents new product information as soon as it is available. Presenters may be from IBM, other vendors, or members of the group.
Who can come to the meetings? Anyone interested in the AS/400. You do not have to own an AS/400 to become a member; users of other systems, consultants, etc., are all welcome. (Our mailing list is not distributed.)
