About VPNOut
We at VPNOut were quite upset at the current state of affairs regarding people's privacy on the Internet so we started a business to solve the problem. Our anonymous VPN service encrypts and masks all of your Internet traffic and we guarantee it will work through any firewall or your money back. It even works through web proxies!
Free tools do exist to guarantee your privacy on the Internet but they're often quite slow (Tor) and are not particularly useful for things like peer-to-peer applications (Freenet). At VPNOut we've taken measures to ensure that our tunnels are as fast as possible while using the strongest encryption available. If it isn't fast enough for you we'll give you your money back--it is as simple as that. Also, we're adding new servers all the time to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible for our customers.
Features
Here's some features that we provide to our customers that, as far as we know, no one else does:
- Pick-your-port: Our service works on any port. Yes, any. Our servers are configured to listen on all ports simultaneously so you have as many firewall-busting options as possible. You can even choose between UDP or TCP.
- UPnP: We have configured Universal Plug and Play on our servers so that you or your applications can map ports automatically through the VPN tunnel. This speeds up Bittorrent and allows applications to work through our VPN that will not work on our competitor's services (or through any other annoying firewalls you might encounter).
- We allow our clients to customize their OpenVPN configuration files to better interoperate with their local network. Many of our competitors will prevent you from accessing local network resources (say, networked printers) while you're connected to their services. With VPNOut you can add whatever local routes you want and a route for your local subnet is configured automatically.
- We support all platforms. You heard that right: all of them. If it runs OpenVPN it will run VPNOut. We'll even help you get it working on whatever you desire. Whether that be your Linksys router (OpenWRT), your Ubuntu desktop, or just a vanillia Windows XP system.
