Here at Von HöllenTiefe Dobermanns, my only interest is to own, train, and breed the best working dog possible without all the fluff and hype others promote. You can trust that we will not breed a litter so we can recover our invested money. They either will or will not be bred based on the dogs themselves. This is my hobby and favorite interest. They are a pleasure to own and work, and I don't view them as a chore. I guess my moto is, NO FLUFF... AND NO HYPE...
My name is Steve Foss, and I have trained in Schutzhund since 1999. I started with my first American bred Doberman in the spring of 1999. I was just looking for a pet at the time, then I discovered Schutzhund. I worked this dog every which way possible to achieve the best results with what I had to work with. I have never, nor will I ever get rid of a dog because it can not work. They are mine for life, and will always have a home. For four years I worked with Cujo, my American Dobie but to no avail. He was only capable of light work, and it became clear I needed a new dog. I began my search in early 2001 for a working prospect Dobermann. Either people wanted too much for a puppy, or just failed to produce results with their breedings. All along I was urged by everyone I knew that the Dobermann was a hopeless breed, this just made me look harder. And in the summer of 2002, I found the litter I had been waiting for. It was a breeding from the kennels first litter, the kennel was de L' Ultrachien in France, the breeder was Francois Pillon, to the one I owe the most. Francois, like me was only interested in breeding the best dog. I got my new puppy on November 6th, 2002. And from then on I knew he was going to be a great dog. From the beginning he impressed people, including those that thought the Dobermann was hopeless. I asked for the best, and I received the best. And from now on, Von HöllenTiefe and de L' Ultrachien will be joining forces to produce the best from both sides of the ocean. I guess, he will be my French Connection.
