SVBxLABS - Coming back soon!

Description

Excerpted from the website:

SVBxLABS is still being reconstructed. Lots of draining school classes... but because of a seminar project class I took, I got to work on something I always wanted to make, and was pressured to bring it to completion through the mighty psychological forces that the school grading system exudes. This thing I speak of is actually software and it simulates flexible solids using finite element division, so it could basically model most mechanical setups. I included a plasticity curve as well as the ability for the solid to break. Part of my project was making the environment and display in 3D space, so I spent a good portion of the time making an engine to render the points after having performed a rotation on them. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. You just take each (x,y,z), extract its length and angle, then increment the angle, and finally display just the x,y portion on the screen. The software is able to load objects using vbscript definitions of the objects and also gives vbscript an interface to the 3D environment so the user can control any aspect of the simulation using simple commands and the familiar syntax of vbscript. I also included a utility that is built into the interface that allows the user to design a 2D mesh using a WYSIWYG style interface. Here are some screenshots.
